Pakkhi Hegde Turns Entrepreneur Launches Her Record Label Beyond Music

The first female superstar of Bhojpuri film industry, Pakkhi Hegde has done more than 60 Bhojpuri films including Ganga Devi with Amitabh Bachchan. As a pilot project, artist Stebin Ben was launched with the recreated version of iconic song ‘Mera Dil Bhi Kitna Pagal Hai’ from movie Saajan. The song crossed million views on YouTube in no time and Stebin became a star. Having huge fan base on his social media, Stebin has now performed more than thousand shows all across the globe. With Stebin’s success, Pakkhi Hegde and Viral Motani decided to make it official and announced the launch of ‘Beyond Music’.

To start with, the record label has taken ten talents under its umbrella. These are Shruti Prakash, Paulami Mazumdar, Amrita Sinha, Hardik Tailor, Madhur Sharma, Smit Mehta, Arsh Mohammed, Ashmik Patil, Gaurav Meena and Mehraj Kazi. Madhur Sharma loved and known for his live unplugged nights and has rocked on the cover of ‘Kaise Hua’ from the movie ‘Kabir Singh’ this year. All these artistes have flavours of renowned singers across the board and can fulfil fan’s desire to listen to their favourite Pakistan singers. While voice of Arsh Mohammed resembles Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shruti Prakash sounds like Momina Mustehsan.

Cinépolis Hosts A Movie Screening For Over 4700 Underprivileged Kids Across India

The initiative is part of the Cinépolis’ Pan-India CSR campaign, ‘Let’s All Go To Cinépolis’

New Delhi, 4th December 2018: Cinépolis, India’s 1st International and the world’s 2ndlargest movie theatre circuit organised a special movie screening today in association with Round Table India for underprivileged kids. This initiative is part of Cinépolis’s endeavour to change the lives of young children for the better.This year,Cinépolistreated over 4700 underprivileged children by screening the much-awaited action sci-fi thriller ‘2.0’ at Cinépolis cinemas across 18 cities.

Speaking on the occasion, Javier Sotomayor, Managing Director, Cinépolis Asia said, “Through our CSR initiative ‘Let’s All Go to Cinépolis’, we aim to bring joy and happiness into the lives of the lesser privileged children.  Cinema has the power to influence and empower and being a responsible organization, it is our constant endeavor to provide this benefit to the underprivileged children as well’.

SKF India Limited Conducts Raid On Counterfeiters In Chennai

31th August 2018, Chennai – SKF India Limited, the leading bearing manufacturer along with the local police team of IPRE Division of Chennai police has raided major SKF bearings dealers and stamping units in the Thambu Chetty Street (Central Chennai). The raid resulted in finding out two counterfeit dealers namely Bearing & Chain Enterprises and Rudrakash Bearing Centre engaged in stamping of counterfeit SKF Bearings.

During the raid, the police officers have seized a huge quantity of duplicate bearings worth of more than 50 lacs of rupees, which were being sold in Chennai and various other parts of Southern India. Police have registered a case under Section 51(b) (i) and 63(a) of the Copyright Act, 1957.

SKF’s primary concern for such action is to maintain quality of its products as the counterfeit products are not manufactured as per industry standards and can lead to automotive failure besides injuries to consumers.

Mumbaiites, Say No To Surge Price With App-Based S3 Cabs

Brand new app-based ‘S3’ cabs are ready to hit city roads from today.

Chief minister Devendra Fadanvis will launch the service, that will join more than 50,000 tourist cabs being operated as app-based taxis in Mumbai. The new taxi aggregator, Sahyadri Smart Safe Cabs or S3, claims that their cabs will be free of surge pricing, a system in which cab fares shoot up with demand. They will also charge drivers lesser facility charges than other aggregators.

“There will be neither surge nor night charges. Our cabs can be booked at a fare of ₹10 -₹12 /km, which is lesser than other aggregators,” said Prafulla Shinde, founder-director of S3.

Around 800 tourist cab drivers have registered on their platform and 4,000 other applications are being processed, said Shinde. S3 claimed they are going to charge 3% towards facility charges from drivers on a daily earning of up to ₹1,500 to ₹2,000 and 10% on any amount above it, as opposed to 20-25% charged by others. Ola and Uber have been primarily providing app-based taxis since 2014. Despite the new Maharashtra City Taxi Rules 2017 regulating surge pricing, lack of implementation has left consumers unhappy. Shinde claimed that S3 will follow the new rules. “We have set up a call center. Complaints can be made via mail, WhatsApp, and on the helpline number. Drivers can also be rated,” he said. The app is available on Android and IOS platforms. S3 also developed a service app for restaurants, hotels, bars, etc, who can use it to book cabs for their customers.

Shinde said S3 also plans to launch a parcel service in July and they are already in talks with two online shopping companies

TOSHIBA RELEASES NEW, POWERFUL SURVEILLANCE AND VIDEO STREAMING INTERNAL CONSUMER HARD DRIVES

Dubai, UAE. — April 17, 2018 — Toshiba Electronic Devices and Storage Corporation and Toshiba Gulf FZE, announces the launch of two new surveillance and video streaming Hard Drives to the consumer internal lineup, the S300 and V300. The S300 surveillance Hard Drive series is available in capacities up to 10TB  and offers support for up to 64 high definition camera  streams. The V300 Video Stream Hard Drive series is available in capacities up to 3TB and suited for all entry level recording and streaming for the home.

The S300 Surveillance Hard Drive series offer 24/7 reliability and high performance with large cache size up to 256MB. The S300 performs at up to 7200rpm with a maximum data transfer speed of 248 MB/s . Additionally, the S300 comes with built-in RV sensors to help suppress vibrations in multi hard drive platforms. Available in up to 10TB capacities, the new surveillance hard drive can handle high workloads up to 180TB/year  and supports surveillance network video recorders (sNVR), surveillance digital video recorders (sDVR), hybrid sDVR(analog and IP) and RAID storage arrays for surveillance.

The V300 Video Streaming Hard Drive series are designed for reliable video recording and playback, and offers built-in silent seek technology, which results in a quiet operation. The V300 low spin design reduces energy consumption by up to 25% . Available in up to 3TB capacities, the V300 hard drive supports video editing systems, set-top-box (STB), digital video recorders (DVR) and network video recorders (NVR).

In addition to the new hard drive models, Toshiba introduces new color branding for each category in the consumer internal hard drive lineup. The new category colors will be displayed on the drive labels and retail shelf packaging to clearly communicate the hard drive category’s use case and device application. The S300 hard drive series comes in a green surveillance label, and the V300 hard drive series in a blue video streaming label. The consumer friendly, easy-to-identify color-coded drive labels and retail shelf packaging makes it easy for consumers to shop for the drive they need.
